Therapies We Offer
Auricular Acupuncture – Auricular acupuncture is one of the more widely used microsystems within eastern medicine. Microsystems use one aspect of the body – for example, the ears, hands or feet – to treat conditions that are present anywhere in the body. Auricular Acupuncure is a treatment uses small needles to stimulate the outer part of the ear. These are left in place for 10-30 minutes and trigger electrical impulses from the ear, via the brain to the specific area of the body that needs treating. It can be very helpful for calming, muscle tension, detoxification, aiding digestion and general pain relief.
Chiropractic – Manipulation is the chiropractor’s most important technique. With their hands, the chiropractor moves a joint a little further than the patient would be able to do on their own. The purpose of this treatment is to normalise the functions of the joints and muscles and to ease, or remove, pain and improve mobility.
Indian Head Massage – The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. The therapist uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. It is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. Clients report that the experience is deeply calming and relaxing, leaving them feeling energised and revitalised and better able to concentrate.
*Please note that this treatment may NOT be suitable for anyone with Epilepsy, High Blood Pressure & Recent Head Injuries*
Swedish Massage – Traditional Swedish massage combines a collection of techniques designed primarily to relax specific muscles and tension. This deep tissue manipulation of muscles and connective tissue, unravels tension, soothes tight sore muscles whilst also improving circulation of the blood and lymphatic systems. Swedish massage prevents injury, relieves tight muscles, releases any lactic acid built up and blockages within the tissues. It eases your mind, relaxes your body and leaves your soul feeling rested.
Reiki – Reiki pronounced “Ray Kee” is a form of Japanese energy healing involving laying on of hands which originates in Japan. We all have energy that exists within and around us, and it is this energy that is directed through the healers hands. A treatment lasts for around an hour and feels like a warm glowing radiance that flows throughout the body. It can release stress which can be a cause of many illnesses and re-awaken the natural healing process by re-balancing the body’s energy. It is effective for both physical emotional and psychological conditions, treating the mind, body, soul promoting peace and a positive spirit.
Reflexology – Reflexology is a natural therapy which works on the feet to encourage the body to heal and restore its own healthy balance. The therapist uses pressure points massage to work on a particular reflex point that stimulate the corresponding muscle or organ. Reflexology is a safe, effective treatment and can be used to maintain good health by stimulating the body’s own healing process by searching for its point of balance. It works physically, mentally and emotionally to achieve whole body well being.
